Black is becoming a top choice for bridesmaid dresses. But it can easily seem too serious or even dull. Make sure to add in color where you can (coordinate with the flowers and rest of the wedding colors) and most importantly make sure its not 100 degrees out in the middle of summer. A sweaty wedding party will not make for pretty pictures!
Black gowns are most appropriate for an elegant evening ceremony and don't belong in a July beach side wedding.
Warning: A group of gals all dressed in black can look more funereal than festive so make sure you add other creative splashes of color so your wedding doesn't look like a funeral.
