Is a grooms cake necessary? Although opinions vary on the subject, I'll give you a straight-forward easy answer...no, they are definitely not necessary. Appreciated and fun, yes...necessary, no. If you are looking to cut your budget this is definitely something you can omit. However, if you decide like many brides do to include a grooms cake (like I did), your not alone. Many brides find the groom's cake appealing because it's a way to give the groom special recognition on a day when most of the attention seems to center on the bride. The latest trend is brides creating a groom's cake to reflect his interest or hobby.
